In 1975, Dr. Youngjoong Kang established a Math institute in Korea that would become the birthplace of noonnoppi, the concept that instructors must become students of their own students to truly know their abilities and attitudes toward learning. By viewing the world from the Eye Level of the student, the instructor can set appropriate goals and tailora program to attain them, one successful step at a time.
Since its founding in 1986 by Dr. Kang, Daekyo has applied the concept of noonnoppi to help more than two million students develop academic proficiency while becoming self-directed, lifelong learners. When expanding to the U.S., Asia-Pacific, and many other global markets, Daekyo applied the same concept to its Math, English, and Korean programs. Today, the future of learning looks bright for everyone who will be touched by Daekyo’s Eye Level programs.
